    A very long time ago, the Pilgrims and the Native Americans celebrated what is now known as the “First Thanksgiving.” The Native Americans had taught the Pilgrims how to grow corn and catch eel & fish. They had also helped the Pilgrims with food during the first winter. The Pilgrims invited the Native Americans to the Thanksgiving meal to thank them for their help.
